Grand View Sheep & Cattle Farm

A scenic agricultural tour to visit a classic working New Zealand sheep and cattle farm, offering an insight into the lives of a typical kiwi farming family. Suitable for family groups, corporate groups.

Traveling approximately 32 kilometres out of Tauranga city into the Kaimai Ranges passing some delightful rural scenery ranging from small lifestyle blocks through to acreage and more traditional NZ farms.

We arrive at the McDonald sheep and cattle farm "Grand View.

Grand View is a 800 acre working sheep and cattle farm owned by Angus and Noeline McDonald and now managed on a share bases with there Son and his wife Rod and Shelly McDonald .

Grand View is Located high in the Kaimai Ranges their farm offers panoramic views over the Bay of Plenty region.

At Grand View Sheep and Cattle farm, passengers will:

  • 4wd climb to 2119 feet Above Sea Level
  • Panoramic scenery of the Bay of Plenty and Waikato
  • Be provided an insight into working and living on a sheep and beef farm.
  • Meet the farmers and take a walk through a typical New Zealand woolshed.
  • Watch sheep being shorn.
  • Get close to farm animals.
  • See in action and learn about the two predominant types of New Zealand farm dogs - the Huntaway and Eye Dog.

Enjoy a traditional farm "smoko" meal.
